Idle Ramblings

Thinking about Life and Unlife in my idle time, jotting down some meekly leaked thoughts out of my think tank. An invisible unknown occults as antagonist between life and unlife. So called modern world has kept this unknown to be wellknown secret. There are few extensive research in Hindu mythology, but hard to understand.

Few weeks back I started an experiment by sowing seeds of Corriander, Green Chilli and Radish. Each requires different soil condition to germinate, the point of selection was quick germination to saplings. We know every seed germinates but as I had already pointed nobody knows exact procedure which converts the unlife seed to lifeful plant (a well known secret). The secret remains unshared, quibble stays soliloquy and pretend ignorance to the world. My intention was to capture the moments of germination. The unkown programs gets executed and samplings germinate. Here are they ...

Lets define a elementary function which f1 and f2

f1(unlife) = life()
f2(life)     =  unlife()

f1 is germination/fertilization function and f2 is elimination function. Letz name fate() as the complicated function defined by time in both life() and unlife().

Coincidentally a pigeon has layed eggs in my kitchen. It is another lazy bird which has a broken nest. Now, along with human, insects, terminates and germs, a bird too lives in my home. A secret within a secret. The eggs are under incubation, . for now it looks like this.

Coming back to the functions, rewritting the functions it looks like this

f1(life()) => f1(f2(unlife()) => f1(f2(f1(unlife())) =>f1(f2(f1(....))) .... an infinite recursion.
Hence life toggles between germination/termination birth/death, a full circle.
Reading the function carefully an amazing fact is that if f1 is executed on unlife turns lifeful. Hence if we execute f1 , one should be able to talk to all non living things around you :), just that scientists have to define f1. Lets not talk about f2 Hence define life as
LIFE -> Life Infinite For Ever => a recursion, looks interesting.

At the end the unknown remains to be uknown intact..

.

TalksOfLife
06 - Nov - 09

Deepavali Memoir

Deepawali has just passed, capturing the memories before they fade away. I have been keeping busy with my work for the past couple of months. I missed the first day ritual of NarakaChaturdashi, as I reached home only in the afternoon. The road to Mysore was crowded with heavy traffic making a longer drive. Every Deepavali, there is insane usage of crackers. You never know when you get hit by a cracker. This gradually has built a hatred towards crackers, hence no crackers at home this year. Though our home was well decorated with traditional lamps.

t

Our office too stood well decorated. Even my cubicle looked decorated that day like this.

Next day, we had a planned trip to Somanathpur and Talakadu. Somanathpur is a archaeological place belonging to twelfth century. In particular a well preserved archaeological site, with amazing stone carvings of Hoysala. Somanathapur is around 27 Kms from Mysore. The plight of road is not good. My average speed stood around 30Kms/hr. Though this is a very precious archeological site, the village Somanathpur by itself is underdeveloped. Here are few captured snaps of Channakeshava temple.

The above are the snaps taken inside the temple. The first snap is not some computer drawing, but are the carvings over stone.

It is amazing to observe the precision, perfection of the work.

During 14th Century the temple came under the attack of invaders, resulting in serious damage.

We continued our journey to Talakadu which is around 30Kms away from somanathapur. Talakadu is again a archaeological place which belongs to eigth century. Again ruled by Hoysalas and Gangas. Talakadu is a desert present beside fertile Cauvery river.. Talakadu as a village which orginally existed is submerged under sand. There are couple of proceedings which you get you hear about this. The first one says "Some natural calamity" and the secondly a folklore, it is curse of "Alamelamma" against the Mysore King in early sixteenth century which says "May the talakadu get submerged under sand". There are two more curses if interested you can check out here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talakad.

Here are few pictures.

The second snap shows submerged temple.

The excavation is still in progress. This is newly excavated temple. The archaealogical team, collects all the pieces and arranges them like a Jigsaw puzzle.

We had plans to go to Shivanasamudram but later cancelled as we had consumed most of the time at Talakadu. Returned back home before the sunset.

The next day evening all set back to Bangalore, left late in the evening at around 5pm, which resulted in me getting caught in heavy traffic again. I took three and a half hours fully to drive back to Bangalore.

In City of grandeur - Mysore

Every Weekend I am home, after home came back to Mysore again. Its Dasara, in particular for Mysore. Massive excited crowd has barged in for the Event. Every street around Mysore Palace enlightened with "Mysore bulbs".

The first Nine days (Navarathri) is marched with various exciting event. Yuva Dasara, Flower Show, Exihibition, cultural programs where renouned musicians were invited to perform, are few I can name. I would like to appreciate the effort by organisers for the improvement compared with what I had experienced earlier. This entire event came to closure today by Jamboo Savari(Elephant Ride) by deity Chamundeshwari and Torch Light Parade. Here are few snaps of Mysore Palace today evening.

The experience can not be filled with words, better be experienced!.
Trying something different

RakshaBandan is a hindu festival which celebrates relationship and bond of protection between brothers and sisters. To be precise RakshaBandhan is as given in Wiki
"The festival is marked by the tying of a rakhi, or holy thread by the sister on the wrist of her brother. The brother in return offers a gift to his sister and vows to look after her while presents sweets to her brother."
It's RakshaaBandhan and I realized it this morning only at office. Right to the point, I had no gifts for any of my sisters. As I have a minimal count of rakhis, here goes the gift coupon plan. I asked my sisters to choose their favorite color among a set of colors given by me. Then each of them got a gift coupon, inside it had a currency note(bill) which matched their favorite color. It was risk for me, I had mentioned a color which matched 1000bucks too. Thanks for INR being so colorful, it is difficult with dollar.
Though it is a trick, I hope they won't forget it and I will me more satisfied to give an unforgettable gift!

-TalksOfLife!

Rules verses common sense

A Common sense is sidelined against rules, ending up unwanted effort. A rule has it's own life time. A rule is born, grown, matured and always with time it grows old to become feeble and weak. Considering the metrics, a rule should evolve, and the task would be to groom it and keep it young. Intention of rule is always forgotten, in general. Whilst submerged among rules, the threat is for existence of common sense, which directly diminishes the sparsely glowing thing called "creativity" in current times. I am perturbed by non acceptance of my ideas by the biased rule followers.

-TalksOfLife

Rain, Rain Come Again

It's been a while, away from Livejournal, all because of upcoming book "Reflectionz". A collection of abstractism and much for the reviewers - absurdism :). This weekend happened to be amazing, as I had planned to experience heavy rainfall. The expectation turned fruitful. Yes, Coastal Karnataka has been tested with heavy rainfall. It has been a record rainfall in Mangalore after 39 years. I was welcomed at puttur by gusty winds in the early hours of saturday. Whole day was pitch dark with roaring rain. It is like someone is pouring water using big bucket, hiding behind dark clouds.
Everything is painted green, all barren lands covered with creepers creeped from nowhere..

Next day it was drive to Surathkal with Parents and bro. Surathkal is about 20Kms from Mangalore, around 80Kms from Puttur. I had little experience driving in watery roads, I must say it is entirely different skill to drive in watery roads. The highway was slippery, I could feel slight misbehavior of car in the curves. Vehicle should always move with calculated speed. Main factors to decide speed is friction of road and mass of vehicle. With rains friction reduces considerably, I am sure our Engineers would have calculated co-efficient of friction at normal condition not for extreme condition. Or Atleast have they considered this factor? Whatever, I was not comfortable. For my journey, highway ends at BC Road, from there on it is country road.

Yes the right picture is our own beautiful country road, which can not accomodate two cars together. It is a competition between two, as who will get down. But you realize how amazing nature is if you look around.

A small stream with heavy rains around.

The result of Saturday's rain made river Nethravati to flood. Parts of Bantwal town has been submerged under muddy, roaring Nethravati river. Summer, I was there at the bed of river, now that I can not see the things which I remember.

I could catch only these two ladies, enjoying rain, much more than me. I could just hear to peafowl, but could not catch them on my camera.

We had a lovely tree planting event at our place. My brother and my little cousins planting Mango saplings!.

I could not restrain from going to sea shore. I could hear roar, from the sea to our place, which is around 5Kms away from sea shore. We were not allowed towards sea shore but just we could watch from a temple nearby. Surathkal light house can be seen here.

Finally I was at the fag end of the day. We started heading back via Mangalore road. This has been in a pittyful state since almost a decade. No one bothers to rectify.

At the end it was a wonderful Sunday!

.

Continued saga of Error

Last post was thought upon Mistakes, Errors or whatever. After a long day coding, I was supposed to compile and "Check-In" the file. The "Makefile" which compiles has a problem, though not self-induced. It does not remove the object files, if the compilation fails. Instead of fixing this problem, I calmly removed the object file and re-compile. The problem has already propagated, I am spending time to remove the file. There are two windows, one does the compilation and other fixes the problems of compilation. Now this how it goes

$ rm file.o        #Remove the file
$ gcc ..... file.c #Compile it
$ rm file.o        # Remove the file
.
.
$rm file.c

Grrrrrr...a blunder. Instead of removing object file, I had deleted my long day's hard work. No backup of the file and just I can say "what the hell". Identifying another problem in the course, "Always keep source directory different from compilation directory". Anyway we do not learn from some mistakes. Coding at the rate of 70 wpm, I am not comfortable with numericals keys and their shift counterparts. I have this problem of saving the file with different names, because of another mistake. Command to save ":w!" sometimes will be typed as ":w 1" or ":w ~", thus saving the file as 1 or ~. Luckily I had done this mistake. The file was saved as 1. A boon which saved my day because of this mistake.

Postulating the entire things, and comments by inspirethoughts on Murphy's law.
"A right must always go wrong"

Propagation of Uncontrolled Error

"To err is human", people say this, so do I agree. Extending this a bit "To Err is to learn, and to repeat an Err is SIN". Contrasting to this serious statement, here are my events below.

There are lot of pigeons around my home. I like to watch them sitting on my compound wall. As days passed by, the number increased gradually. So did they liked me, or not, I do not know. But they definitely liked my drying clothes to pee on. The interesting thing I came to know while talking to my neighbor is that pigeons do not pee on his clothes. I could not reason but I definitely thought "This guy does not give you food, but how can you pee on your master's clothes?". There the problem lies, it is the pot of cereals which I keep for them. They flock in for the pot, and do whatever they want with my drying clothes. I am not willing to take the pot off. I have to dwell with the problem, by adjusting myself to the issues which comes up. The problem propagates and we live and learn.

Two days back, I had a swollen left palm due to some freak accident at home. It was very difficult for me to grip using left hand. Though I got my motor bike to commute to office mostly driving in one hand. On way back home, I was supposed to apply sudden break, but ended up breaking left mirror of my motor bike. The problem propagated when I dropped vessel containing milk. Adding more problems to the list. It is not necessary that we have to err and learn. Most errors are because of negligence and over confidence.

Whenever I forget to close a window, It rains heavily and next morning, my room is a swimming pool. Whenever I start cooking, I get a call. After answering a long call, it is a havoc at kitchen. Whenever I wash my motor bike and keep it clean, it rains the next day, to make sure that my bike is a dirt bike.

Now it is "To Err is Sin". Propagation of error is everywhere not to mention about our own softwares. It is a crazy world where people are paid to err, propagate the error.

Across the time

It's been 2 years in my current company.

We never know how the time pass by or how we pass across the time. Either way it results in some kind of experience. The experience is a thing which keeps one young. The subtext of this sentence is that, your experience is always when you were younger. It just accounts to as how long you been young. How long you were piling up the yourng memories. The various flavors of memories hidden under the reflection of silent water. Is experience just to pile up memories?
Hmmm... I have been associated with my current company for past two years, which groomed me which rich experience by computing continuously :).

This is how my desk looked today at office.

Time is like a free fall through a huge water fall on a bright sunful day, it is left to us whether to enjoy every moment of the fall, it is left to us whether to enjoy the sudden chill of water during dip.
A Week in Tokyo

Now it is my journey to land of rising Sun, after my last visit to probably land of last Sun!.

      <o:smarttagtype namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" name="City"></o:smarttagtype><o:smarttagtype namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" name="place"></o:smarttagtype>I had an official trip to Tokyo last week. As this place is too alienic, I carried each every detail like route maps, station maps, train timings. I had good flight with Cathay pacific The itinerary looked like this

      <o:smarttagtype namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" name="City"></o:smarttagtype><o:smarttagtype namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" name="place"></o:smarttagtype>Bangalore [2:40 am]  ---->  Hong Kong [10:50am]  5:20 min of flight and negative time diff of 2.5hrs -- Dragon Air .
<o:smarttagtype namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" name="place"></o:smarttagtype>Hong Kong[15:00]    -----> Tokyo/Narita[07:45]   3:45 min of flight and negative time diff of 1 hr    -- Cathay Pacific

<o:smarttagtype namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" name="PlaceType"></o:smarttagtype><o:smarttagtype namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" name="PlaceName"></o:smarttagtype><o:smarttagtype namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" name="City"></o:smarttagtype><o:smarttagtype namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" name="place"></o:smarttagtype>I hadn’t heard about Dragon Air before. It is limited flight operated from Hong Kong, currently in the verge of getting merged with Cathay Pacific. In my limited travel, I felt it to be much better than the Disciplined BA, racist Lufthansa or any other. I usually prefer the window seat, and somehow i manage to get one. The fun was during landing at Hong Kong airport. I could watch landing from the window and could see the plane descending sharply over the South China Sea, as though it would land over sea but all of sudden lands over run way though. Hmmm...HongKong airport runway starts from the sea shore. Hong Kong airport is nicely maintained, it is one among the best airports I have seen. Heathrow - London, Chicago, Denver Airport are others in my list. Though it's traffic density is much less than others. It was around mid-noon, when my issues with food started popping up. At restaurants you can not find food served without meat. The places around restaurant have pungent smell. I managed to convince a lady in one of the restaurants to have only vegetables not meat in the burger. <o:smarttagtype namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" name="place"></o:smarttagtype>Some pics from Hong Kong.

<o:smarttagtype namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" name="country-region"></o:smarttagtype><o:smarttagtype namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" name="City"></o:smarttagtype><o:smarttagtype namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" name="place"></o:smarttagtype>Next it was Cathay Pacific which carried me to Tokyo. It was around 7:45pm when I landed. It was peak time of arrival flights from all parts of the world, hence immigration was packed up. It took half an hour to clear immigration and get the check-in bags back. Next half an hour was at forex. You get close to 2Yen for 1Rupee. But you have to pay 10$ for a proper meal. I could not digest this fact that people here hang around with large numbers. Japan is under recession and inflation for more than 25 years as of now. There are n number of trains plying from and to Narita. I took Narita Express to Tokyo. It was around 10:45pm when I reached Tokyo. Tokyo station is one of the most complicated station you may ever see. I got down at level -3 at Tokyo station which is Sobuline to Tokyo. I had map of Tokyo station, but it is confusing even with maps. I had to take help from people around. People in Japan are helpful to the core. They make sure your problem is solved. I had to go to Hamamatsucho Station, trains in tokyo available at Yamanote line 4. I reached Hamamatsucho station at 11:15pm. It's late night and you hardly find people around may be it was Sunday night. Even if you find one it is very difficult to find people who speak in English. When you ask something in English, they will try to reply in English but most of the words will be Japanese. It was too cold and I did shiver literally at 5^C. I dragged my baggage all the way to the hotel using maps I carried. The hotel was really cool.

.

<o:smarttagtype namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" name="country-region"></o:smarttagtype><o:smarttagtype namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" name="City"></o:smarttagtype><o:smarttagtype namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" name="place"></o:smarttagtype>Next Day, a colleague from Tokyo office joined me at hotel sharp at 8.30am as informed. People do adhere to time. The awkward part to me, I had to wear business suit. Everyone in Japan prefers to be in business suits always. I had never tried a business suit in my life. At Tokyo office, people hardly speak english. First day most the translations were done by my colleague. It is so wonderful that they have built a developed Tokyo without much help from outside world. I can't even imagine this to happen in India. We are a country with 28 different countries!!!! dominated and ruined by corrupt and selfish :(. Japan too is thickly populated. People in Japan are very disciplined. I could remember of my days in catholic school I studied, where we were supposed to move in lines. People queue up, everywhere, while boarding a train, or to restrooms. 9am is the peak hour, People flock in and out of railway station and everyone seems to be in a hurry. It is like herd of horses marching with horseshoe!

<o:smarttagtype namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" name="country-region"></o:smarttagtype><o:smarttagtype namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" name="City"></o:smarttagtype><o:smarttagtype namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" name="place"></o:smarttagtype>Next Good thing I have to talk about is the public transport. Tokyo is strongly interconnected with trains. With different lines of trains running. Each line is given a color coding. Sometimes it is confusing too as it is very complicated. If there is a cross over of tracks/lines at a point, same stations is named differently. There can be multiple ways you can travel, it can either be flyway trains or subway trains. I have not seen any train moving empty, at peak hours there are trains every 2minutes. I used to take the flyway trains. One day the flyway train was blocked due to a suicide over the track, I had to take subway train. Suicide rate in Japan is very high. I could hardly find one with a smile in trains I used to travel. There are Buses too, I never had an opportunity to try out.

Food...yeah. It's meat, meat and meat. There are huge number of restaurants around. I could find couple of Indian Restaurants along the way I used to travel. It is easier to find Vegeatarian food in Indian Restaurants. At McDonalds, I had asked them to prepare a Burger without meat, somehow it was agreed and I was a regular visitor with a special recipe. I had carried ready-made food items by MTR, which came handy though. Hmmm.... somehow food was managed.

<o:smarttagtype namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" name="PlaceType"></o:smarttagtype><o:smarttagtype namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" name="PlaceName"></o:smarttagtype><o:smarttagtype namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" name="City"></o:smarttagtype><o:smarttagtype namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" name="place"></o:smarttagtype>Most of my time was spent at office and I wasn't left with enough time to sneak around. My hotel was close to Tokyo towers. Here is the Tokyo Tower.

   .

<o:smarttagtype namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" name="City"></o:smarttagtype><o:smarttagtype namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" name="place"></o:smarttagtype>My Departure was planned on Saturday. I had almost half a day to sneak around. Here is the output. It is spring in Tokyo, and it is cherry blossom everywhere. Beautifully decorated. Some pictures of high rise buildings, Tokyo WTC, Hamatsucho Station. First I visited Takeshiba Pier, where I got first sight of vast Pacific Ocean. Next I had plans to go HamaRikyu park, it wasn't opened for the day when i reached.

           .

Below you find the Sky-scrapers on the shore of Pacific Ocean and the TakeShiba Pier.

Hamarikyu Park surroundings.

Tokyo is very well planned. Next photos is of World Trade Center in Tokyo.

This is the Green Line. Train painted with green color.
Weekend trip to Chitradurga

Kannada Sahitya Sammelana is a summit held yearly to encourage, improve, preserve, our third oldest original language in the world and prestigious regional language, Kannada. Ideally this began as a platform for the literary crowns to present their work. Preserve, encourage were alarming words used in a media, they might be right as Kannada speaking people are much influenced by English and it is hard for me to find people speaking strictly in Kannada language. I had heard about this summit just in my school day text books. This year I had an opportunity to realize much because of my friend, colleague GURU who had plans to go to Chitradurga, where the summit was held, which is about 200 KMS from Bangalore.

We were joined by Adarsha and Raveesh. We cruised in Guru's car, as Guru is still in learning mode, most of the stretch was covered by me. As per our plan we left Bangalore at 5pm but factually we were in Bangalore until 6pm waiting under some red lights and sometimes between clogged vehicles. It is pain to drive in Bangalore city, though you would expedite your driving skills. Every opposite is manifestation of it's opposite!!! ain't it true??? I was thrilled by the wide, gorgeous road in the journey. At some stretch roads were no less than any ExpressWay of America, but I restrained myself to a steady speed of 80-90Kms/hr. Even with such carefulness I had couple of occasions when my heart was in my mouth. People do not adhere to rules, and it is difficult to curb this menace of breaking rules, as I do not find one who does not break rules. Just break the rules and say "Who's father, what goes :P". I am fined not once but thrice for jumping signals, so I avoid to be player of blame game. This is how it is and it is fun. But do mind not to put others at risk. We skipped our stay from Hiruyur to Chitradurga, though we knew it is difficult to get a lodge at Chitradurga. We landed up in an expensive hotel for commiting sin of not staying at Hiriyur.

The next morning we were late from bed due to fatigue from travel. We started our day at the summit with a classical instrumentals. There has been strict opposition by locals, media for lack of necessary facilities. As I entered the front stage things were not as bad as I had imagined and projected by media. The stage was beautifully decorated, hardly anyone appreciated, may be it was expected .

There was nothing interesting, therefore we managed much of our time in book stalls. Though I am not a avid reader of Kannada Novels I bought Kaanooru Heggadati by Kuvempu and Chidambara Rahasya by Poornachandra Tejasvi. Thus we were done with Event. Next! it is all about the place Chitradurga. First we conquered Chandravalli an archeological site which is about 8 Kms from the city of Chitradurga. This place has history which goes back to Satavahana period. As told by our guide, this place was used by saints. There were beautiful carvings here and there. But some were ruined due to time and some due to our own people :(.

Here are some pics from the place.

Inside caves it was pitch dark and we took help of candle to move on.

It looked as though someone had carved such behemoth rocks.

A wonderful to end with. Our day finally came to end after watching a movie in the same lodge. Next day we planned to go to center of main attraction of chitradurga, the fort of chitradurga. This is one of secure fort which one could plan to build. It is said to be built by Madakari Nayaka. One would have to cross seven circum circles of fort to reach the epicenter. Few pics from the place.

This is where we met JyotiRaj who had rare skills of climbing rocks without any tools.

  The rocks in Chitradurga resemble to one or other picture. Thus the name of the place Chitra + durga which is Picture + fort. Here is a frog in the picture, if you can make out. Our guide tried to show us, more pictures. The interesting part was our guide who was in a hurry to return back. The explanation given to us was as done by the guide who shows TajMahal in movie Slumdog Millionaire.:)

One of the famous story which we have read in our text books is about Martyr woman Obavva. Obavva killed soldiers of Hyder Ali who sneaked into the fort. In picture are, Guru as Obavva and Raveesh the soldier who is sneaking in. This is the place where Obavva killed the soldiers called Obavvana Kindi.

We explored the fort and reached the peak of the fort. View from the peak with and without my virtual eyes.

The palace area....

Now this is great wall of Chitradurga....

And this is the Trip Batallion.............

It was strainful day. It was time to checkout of lodge and head back. We left hotel at 3pm and on the way we had plans to visit Jogimutti, a natural cave and hill resort. We did not knew that it requires permission from Forest department. Therefore we could not go to that place. We made diversion to Adumalleshwara. We could capture some captives here.

Did I took risk of entering the cage of Chetahs!!!!!!!!!. .... It will be about or tailored to those four who respond first.

This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

* I make no guarantees that you will like what I make.
* What I create will be just for you.
* It'll be done this year.
* You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a mixed tape. It may be fic, or a poem. I may draw or paint something. I might bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!
* I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.
* Additional caveat: I reserve the right to make something for your kid(s) instead of you :)

The catch? Oh, the catch is that you have to put this in your journal as well, if you expect me to do something for you!

Hoping atleast now three would comment on my blog!
Bike Trip to Devarayana Durga

The lazy weekend turned out to a bike trip to devarayana durga. A historic place around 80kms[50 miles] far from Bangalore.

Few Snaps from the trip..

Moments to relish here and there.

Break....

Viewpoint of a view point.

Hair pin curves.

Monkey on a afternoon nap.

View from the summit. We can see Bhoga narasimha temple in the picture. It is difficult to stand on the summit due to the high speed breeze.

Not to miss the chaotic Bangalore Traffic. Could not capture the complete view. Here an auto is moving in a direction against the direction of a truck. Unbearable amount of dust and polluted air, my is nose is burning due to some inflection.

The trip was short, but had to travel around 230 kms in all. As we took a deviation of Goravanahalli which is around 20 Kms from Devarayana Durga.

A well known fact that result is like a gift of any problem. There can be only one result of any problem. But yeah .. there can not be any gift without facing any problem. I have problems with this fact.In my world a problem has multiple results.I am dismayed with this software world, sometimes i am not able to keep up my words.

Yet Another year to Archive

Today Morning having some conversation with one of my colleague.

Colleague : The thing which bothers me is that "I am growing Older".

Me : Growing old seems logical. Is there anything which grows young??

I hope i did not mess up with her morning. But is there anything which can grow young? Though Why would one think of getting younger. We need progress, progress is through growth, growth is not young. Young think of getting older, old wants to be younger. Does not match. This comes to "Rail theory" by me an year ago.

Every year is with new experience, new learnings. Lot of memories to be archived. It's been a busiest year ever i had. First thing which added a new cap, completion of MS program, other than regular course, it taught me a lot about time management which i would ever had bothered. Staying away from parents is the next biggest challenge to me. I had never cooked before, now i cook for my survival. Chapters of memoirs from the North India trip along with my parents. Couple of official foreign trips, which brought me recognition, appreciation. Added two more racks of books, of some i have not found space in time to turn left pages.

Few from the list of previous year resolution came to life. Resolutions are there to be cornered. Wind takes me in it's direction, but still hoping I can change the direction of wind. Resolutions for this year would be : 1. Time is precious.

Life is all about Winnings, Passion, Looses, Ardors, a swim across all of these. Wish you a very happy New Year.
